Susan McArthur’s Talk

  

An appreciative group attended on Saturday 30th June and were interested to learn of the influences which have shaped her very successful artistic life.  

Although known locally as the “hat lady” Susan has many other creative talents, including painting, photography and now singing!  Discussion continued over tea and cakes and Marie’s Banana Cake was proclaimed a triumph!

Susan McArthur is a Painter and Milliner who has lived on the North West Coast of Tasmania for the last 20 years. In returning to the family home her works have become an expression of love, desire, fear and loss. Through a palette of vibrant colours the works are emersed in the dynamics of family life.

Exhibition Opening - Eve Howard, Ceramic Artist

Opening 6 pm on Friday 18th May 

Everyone welcome, Come and see the latest TRA touring exhibition of Eve Howard's wonderful ceramic Birds.  

Drinks, soup and a roll available, so call in before going to see the Lighthouse Society's film. 

Exhibition hours from 22nd May Tues - Sat. 10 - 2 pm until 2nd June 2012

Free Entry to exhibition but of course donations are always welcome 

Vocal Nosh 

A novel way to start flexing your vocal cords, socialise, enjoy a light lunch and perhaps make some new friends - all for $15. ($13 for ArtsCape members)
